How to Write a Professional CV
A strong CV is clear, relevant and easy to scan. Start with your name, mobile number, professional email, location and LinkedIn profile. Add a short professional summary tailored to the role.
Use a simple structure
- Contact information
- Professional summary
- Work experience with measurable achievements
- Education and certifications
- Technical and language skills
Write achievements, not duties
Replace general tasks with results. For example: “Reduced monthly closing time by three days” is stronger than “Responsible for monthly closing.”
Before submitting
Check spelling, dates and contact details. Save the file as PDF and use a professional filename such as Firstname-Lastname-CV.pdf. Never include confidential information or pay anyone to apply for a job.
